Harvard Stem Cells Institute and Cellular Dynamics sign collaboration

Harvard Stem Cells Institute (HSCI), a network of stem cell scientists, has entered into a collaboration agreement with stem cells manufacturer Cellular Dynamics International (CDI).

According to a statement released yesterday, April 19, the objective of the collaboration is to increase the availability of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) and services to the HSCI network and research community.

IPS are adult cells which have been programmed to an embryonic stem cell state.

Bruce Novich, executive vice president and general manager of the life science business division for CDI, said: “CDI is honoured and excited to partner with HSCI, one of the world’s most prestigious research organisations.”

He added: “Our goal is to make iPS cells and technology more accessible so that researchers across disciplines and the various institutions of HSCI can better pursue the promise of stem cell science and regenerative medicine.”
