Honigman adds partner in Chicago

US-based law firm Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn has hired Simeon Papacostas as a partner in the firm’s IP department.

Based in Chicago, he will also be a member in the the IP litigation and life sciences practice groups.

Papacostas joins from law firm Kirkland & Ellis, where he also worked as a partner.

He focuses his practice on patent litigation in federal courts for his clients in the medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology industries.

Papacostas also has experience in representing clients in post-grant proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
