Jones Day hires partner in San Diego

Law firm Jones Day has hired John Wehrli as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice in San Diego.

Wehrli joins from law firm Latham & Watkins, where he also worked as a partner.

He has experience in due diligence, licensing and strategic transactions and has represented clients in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and renewables industries.

Karen Hewitt, partner-in-charge of the firm’s San Diego office, said: “John is one of the most engaged and respected members of San Diego’s life sciences community.
