Mayer Brown promotes five IP professionals

Law firm Mayer Brown has made a number of promotions across its offices, with five appointments in the intellectual property practice .

Brian Andrea and Konstantin von Werder have been appointed as counsel.

Andrea, counsel in the Washington, DC office, focuses primarily on patent litigation. This includes motions practice, managing fact discovery, drafting and arguing claim construction amongst others.

He has litigated in fields such as medical devices, signal processing, automobile components, and telecommunications.

Von Werder has been appointed counsel in the Frankfurt office. He focuses on IP litigation in the information technology sector.

Mayer Brown also appointed two IP partners, Erick Palmer and Robert Pluta, in its Chicago office.

Palmer has experience in fields such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical diagnostics, nutraceuticals, and food science.

Pluta focuses his practice on technologies, including mobile devices, semiconductors, LCD panels, telecommunications, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.

Oliver Yaros has also been appointed as a partner, based in the London office. He advises clients on technology, media and telecommunications, outsourcing, IT, data protection  and privacy, e-commerce and IP transactions and issues.
