McNair hires life sciences lawyer

McNair Law Firm has expanded its IP practice with the addition of John Johnson as a shareholder in the firm.

Johnson, who joins from Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, focuses his practice on patents and technology law issues in the medical device, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Chad Thorson and Nathaniel Quirk also join McNair from Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough and will serve as shareholders.

David Tigges, McNair’s managing shareholder and CEO, said: “McNair will now have more than a dozen IP lawyers, and we are committed to expanding to become the Southeast’s go-to IP boutique within a mid-size firm.”
