Sheppard patent lawyer joins McDermott Will & Emery’s IP practice
April Weisbruch has joined McDermott Will & Emery as an IP partner, moving from Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, where she worked as an IP associate.
“April’s technical background in life sciences and high-tech patent litigation strengthens our trial team further, solidifying McDermott’s ability to achieve favourable results for clients,” said Nicole Jantzi, head of McDermott Will & Emery’s global IP practice.
According to a statement from McDermott Will & Emery, Weisbruch “focuses her practice on all aspects of intellectual property, including large scale patent litigation and counselling, and represents clients in all phases of IP litigation”.
Weisbruch added that her practice “will immediately benefit from the strength of McDermott’s superior reputation in IP and international platform. I’m thrilled to be joining this diverse, passionate team and I’m excited to dive in and contribute immediately”.
