Bryan Roberts is a partner at Venrock and is based in Palo Alto, California. Since joining Venrock in 1997, Roberts has stood behind a number of big investments in healthcare companies.

Roberts has ranked on Forbes’ ‘Midas List’ eight times between 2008 and 2016, including being acknowledged most recently for his “notable” deal on Ikaria. The therapeutics company was acquired by biopharmaceutical business Mallinckrodt for $2.3 billion in 2015.
His other notable investments include Ariosa Diagnostics, which was acquired by Roche, and Receptos, bought by Celgene. He was also involved in Vitae Pharmaceuticals’ acquisition by Allergan and Merck’s buyout of Sirna Therapeutics.
Roberts is chairman of the board of directors of Castlight Health and Achaogen. He serves on the board of several private companies including 10X Genomics, Doctor on Demand, Grand Rounds, Hua Medicine, Intarcia and Lyra Health.
