Novartis and Broad Institute to speak at LSPN Europe

The chief business officer of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and a senior patent counsel at Novartis are just two of a number of experts who are attending the Life Sciences Patent Network Europe conference in London.

The conference ( see details here) is organised by Life Sciences IP Review and will take place on Wednesday, December 6 at The Bloomsbury Hotel.

Following the success of the event in North America (Boston) and Asia (Singapore) this year, LSIPR has brought together a wide range of speakers including partners at leading international law firms, legal experts and licensing heads from a range of pharmaceutical companies.

It is the second LSPN conference in London, and the fourth overall.

Discussion topics will include the principles and opportunities surrounding CRISPR, which will be led by the chief business officer at the Broad Institute, Issi Rozen. A session on second medical use infringement, which will be hosted by Ewan Nettleton, senior patent counsel at Novartis, will also be held.

The scope of patent protection in Europe and supplementary protection certificates are two further topics on the agenda.

Delegates will have the opportunity to develop their insight into issues of critical importance. They will also be able to contribute to a series of roundtable discussions and network with global patent peers.

Details of how to register can be found here.
