Patterson Belknap adds special counsel

Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler has hired Barbara Mullin, a former lawyer at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, as special counsel.

Mullin, who will join the firm’s litigation department, has more than 25 years of experience litigating patent infringement disputes.

Her cases involve fields such as recombinant antibody technology, medical devices and methods, and small molecule pharmaceuticals.

In addition to representing clients in federal courts and before arbitration panels, she counsels innovator pharmaceutical and medical device clients on strategic patenting and licensing and freedom to operate issues.
