Eversheds’ IP head in Brussels joins Crowell & Moring
Crowell & Moring has welcomed Gunther Meyer, who previously led the Brussels IP group at Eversheds Sutherland, as a senior counsel in the firm’s IP group.
He will be based in Brussels, Belgium.
Meyer represents national and multinational entities across a range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.
He handles domestic and cross-border litigation and has particular expertise in complex patent disputes. Meyer has been involved in litigation relating to supplementary protection certificates, as well as disputes around the parallel import of medicines.
Meyer, who has gained experience in Belgian, European, and international IP law, advises clients on licensing, research and development, and IP collaboration agreements.
Kristof Roox, co-managing partner of the firm’s Brussels office, said Gunther’s experience in IP and life sciences will strengthen Crowell’s IP offering.
He added: “He deepens our bench to advise companies in several sectors, including pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as manufacturers of medical devices, on contentious and non-contentious IP matters. He will also strengthen our trademark and licensing practice.”
