Held during Boston’s week-long Biotech festival, BioPharm America promises its 4,500 delegates excellent knowledge, networking, and deal opportunities, says Guadalupe Rodriguez of EBD Group.

Hundreds of global life science executives including pharma, established biotech, startups and investors will be at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on September 11 and 12, 2019, for the 12th annual BioPharm America.

Produced by EBD Group and powered by the industry’s gold-standard life sciences partnering platform, partneringONE, BioPharm America is part of Biotech Week Boston, a festival of 15 prominent events displaying the most inventive scientific minds and business leaders in Boston and around the world.

The week-long festival provides delegates with additional networking opportunities, such as the Biotech Week Boston Festival Party, with 4,500-plus life science industry influencers.

“Each year, BioPharm America draws industry leaders from around the world to this unique partnering event that plays a vital role in connecting emerging biotech with companies that seek to work with them, facilitating partnerships that drive growth and innovation,” said Anna Chrisman, Group Managing Director, EBD Group.

Attendees will hear from top experts in the industry during the Xcelerate Keynote Series, including Laura Glimcher of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, David Liu from Beam Therapeutics, Editas Medicine, and Broad Institute; Cindy Perettie of Foundation Medicine; Saurabh Saha at Bristol-Myers Squibb; and Luk Vandenberghe of the Grousbeck Gene Therapy Center, Massachusetts Eye and Ear.

Highlights of the panels with key industry leaders, pharma executives, and investors include:

  • Early stage financing: What does it take to be one step ahead?
  • Partnering in cell and gene therapy
  • Dealmaking strategies: The subtlety of negotiation
  • What's next: 2020 and beyond
  • Trends in corporate VC investment

Partnering opportunities

Partnering with the event is now open, with added features such as enhanced search, a responsive mobile app, and the ability to access attendees’ meeting profiles from all past EBD events, providing a golden opportunity to find and negotiate asset deals and strategic collaborations.

New this year, BioPharm America attendees will also be able to use the platform to partner with participants from three other events held concurrently: AI Applications for Drug Discovery and Development, Microbiome Therapeutics US, and Cell & Gene Therapy Bioprocessing & Commercialisation.
