Bird & Bird hires new life sciences partner in Paris

Law firm Bird & Bird has hired Emmanuelle Porte as partner in its Paris-based corporate and life sciences groups.

Porte joins the firm from Redlink, where she was also a partner.

She specialises in venture capital and mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate finance transactions within the life sciences and healthcare sector.

Porte focuses primarily on clients in the biotech, medtech and healthcare industries.

Sylvie Hamel, counsel, has also joined the firm. She has worked with Porte for nearly 15 years and specialises in complex company law matters.
