Dechert hires IP partner in Boston

Law firm Dechert has hired Andrea Reid as partner to the firm’s intellectual property practice in Boston.

Reid (pictured left) joins from Boston-based law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart. She focuses her practice in patent portfolio creation and counselling.

She has represented clients in industries including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical devices.

Jeffrey Plies, chair of the firm’s IP group, said: “Andrea’s outstanding reputation and her nearly 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry make her a perfect fit for Dechert and she will be a tremendous asset to our global patent counselling and prosecution practice.”
