HGF promotes two to partner

IP firm  HGF has appointed two patent attorneys to partner, increasing the partner group to 63 partners.

Jamie Thomson, based in the firm’s Edinburgh office, has more than 20 years’ experience in the patent profession, specialising in the field of chemistry, particularly medical devices, pharmaceuticals and performance chemicals.

In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, he handles contentious European Patent Office (EPO) opposition and appeal proceedings. He also provides advice on IP portfolios and opinions on the infringement and validity of patents.

Based in HGF’s York office,  Nienke Lubben is experienced in the biotechnology and life sciences fields, with a particular interest in point of care diagnostics.

Lubben handles all patent-related matters including preparing patent applications, prosecuting patent applications before the EPO and UK Intellectual Property Office, managing worldwide patent prosecution, strategic reviews, due diligence, and validity opinions.
