Jones Day has announced that Yi Han Dulkeith has joined the firm’s IP practice in New York.

Dulkeith, who joins from Baker Botts, counsels research institutions and universities as well as biotechnology and biopharmaceutical companies. She advises clients on their technologies including immunotherapy, gene editing, and cell therapies including stem cell technology and engineered cells, and diagnostics.

Dulkeith began her career in the legal profession as a science advisor, handling patent prosecution matters and opinions, as well as directing and devising strategies in re-examination proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

“She brings her impressive combination of legal and biotechnology skills and training to advise emerging and world-leading biotech and biopharmaceutical companies,” said Anthony Insogna, practice leader of Jones Day’s IP practice.

“In particular, her experience with strategic portfolio management and prosecution, due diligence and post-grant proceedings will be a tremendous asset to our clients. I am pleased to welcome her to Jones Day.”

"With extensive experience representing non-profit and health-care organisations, research institutes, as well as start-up biotech companies and multinational biopharmaceutical companies, her blend of deep technical knowledge and proven legal skills will be terrific for our clients,” added Leon DeJulius, partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s New York office.
