Latham and Watkins has unveiled two new IP partners and one counsel as part of its annual appointments and promotions.

The new hires will take up their new posts January 1, and are based across the Chicago, Washington, DC and Houston offices.

Brenda Danek and Inge Osman, both based in the litigation and trial department, have been promoted to partner.

Danek, based in Chicago, is mainly focused on life sciences patent litigation. She has particular experience in the fields of antibodies, biotechnology, and Hatch-Waxman litigation.

Osman, who works out of the firm’s Washington, DC office, focuses her practice on complex technology litigation.

She has represented clients before district courts, at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Herman Yue has been appointed to counsel in the Houston office. His expertise covers patent litigation in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries.
