Life sciences lawyer in Hogan Lovells promotion drive

Anishiya Abrol, a life sciences IP specialist, has been promoted to counsel at law firm Hogan Lovells.

Three other IP lawyers – Anna Shaw, Srecko Vidmar and David Toy – have become partners. All four are based in the US.

Abrol (pictured) works mainly in the life sciences and technology fields. She drafts and negotiates commercial and corporate contracts, ranging from operational agreements to more complex transactions such as joint ventures.

A specialist on technology and IP transactions, Toy deals with both buyers and sellers, his clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies.

Shaw, who specialises in areas including litigation and licensing, deals with trademark, copyright and domain name matters. She has worked in federal court and before the International Trade Commission and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Vidmar focuses on patent, trademark and copyright litigation, especially in the software, hardware and Internet technologies industries. Disputes over e-commerce and medical billing software are some of those he has litigated.

Across the firm, Hogan Lovells now has 29 new partners and 38 people working as counsel, of counsel or consultant.
