Marks & Clerk UK promotes two to partnership

UK IP firm Marks & Clerk LLP has announced two of its attorneys will be joining the firm’s partnership.

Aimee Cawley, based in the Manchester office and Richard Gibbs, from the Glasgow office, were promoted to the new position on August 28.

Cawley, who joined the firm in 2009, specialises in chemical and mechanical patent prosecution while Gibbs, who joined in 2003, is a life sciences specialist with a particular focus on biotechnology.

Gibbs and Cawley (pictured) are UK and European patent attorneys.

Bob Naismith, UK managing partner at Marks & Clerk, said it was a “great pleasure” to welcome the pair to the partnership.

“As highly skilled patent attorneys and commercial advisors to their clients, I have very much enjoyed working with them over the past years and look forward to continuing to do so in the years to come,” Naismith said.

Marks & Clerk has eight offices across the UK.
