Partner joins Steptoe’s New York office

Steptoe & Johnson has added a partner to its New York IP team.

Vishal Gupta joins from  Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto.

Gupta specialises in patent litigation and has represented companies in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries.

He said: “As a full-service firm with a national IP practice, Steptoe provides a strong platform for effectively and efficiently representing clients.”

Phil West, chair of Steptoe, said: “Vish brings a strong technical background and excellent credentials for our growing pharmaceutical, biosimilars, and medical device patent litigation practice.”

Gupta follows Bobby Greenfeld and Jeff Lee to the firm,  both of whom joined in August.
