Reddie & Grose has appointed Robin Ellis as a partner in the firm’s Munich office.
Ellis rejoins the firm, where he was previously worked as a patent attorney from 2001 to 2006, from German pharmaceutical company and Novartis subsidiary Sandoz.
He had served as head of the 25-attorney team working on small molecule patents at Sandoz since January 2017.
He was previously head of respiratory patents at the German company.
Ellis will be the first partner based permanently in Reddie & Grose’s Munich office.
His work at Sandoz focused on contentious IP matters including freedom to operate assessments, due diligence, licensing negotiations and oppositions at the European Patent Office.
Jan Vleck, managing director at Reddie & Grose, said the firm was “delighted to welcome Robin at a time when the firm is investing in life sciences and growing the team in continental Europe”.
