US law firm Lathrop & Gage has hired Amy McMahon to the firm’s intellectual property division.

She joins the intellectual property transactional team, where she will focus on biology.

Before joining the firm, McMahon worked at Boston-based law firm Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks.

A registered patent agent with the US Patent and Trademark Office, she has experience in prosecuting and drafting patent applications in the biotechnology industry.

Giulio DeConti, partner in charge of the Boston office, said: “Amy’s knowledge of patents, paired with her experience in biology, will prove to be an asset to our clients nationwide.”
