Cynthia Chen

Cynthia Chen is a senior counsel in IP and litigation at Amgen. She specialises in patent prosecution, portfolio management, due diligence, and patent litigation within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Prior to joining Amgen, Chen held patent counsel roles at Pfizer and Novartis Vaccines, where she supported IP strategy for vaccine programs and nucleic acid-based technologies. She began her legal career as an associate at McDermott Will & Emery and Ropes & Gray, focusing on patent prosecution, portfolio development, and litigation.

She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the USPTO, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
