Paul Fleming

Paul Fleming is senior director of IP at Seaport Therapeutics. Prior to joining Seaport Therapeutics, Fleming served as IP counsel at Relay Therapeutics, where he worked on patent strategy, freedom-to-operate analyses, due diligence, and patent prosecution for small molecule programmes in a biotechnology setting.

He also practiced as an associate and law clerk at Dechert, where he advised on a range of IP matters, including patent litigation and prosecution.

Earlier in his career, Fleming held technical and patent-focused roles as a patent agent and staff scientist. Before transitioning into IP law, he spent many years as a principal scientist at AstraZeneca R&D Boston.
