Nelson Mullins adds life sciences litigator in NYC

Siew Yen Chong has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s New York office as of counsel.

Chong’s practice focuses on patent prosecution and litigation, as well as pre-litigation strategy counselling. Her technical expertise extends to monoclonal antibodies, HIV antivirals, and DNA sequencing.

She has provided freedom to operate analyses relating to the Biologics Act and biotherapeutic development programmes, and has also handled Hatch-Waxman litigation and post-grant proceedings at the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Before practising law, Chong was a scientist at a multinational pharmaceutical company. Her work focused on the development of candidate vaccines targeted to bacterial and viral diseases.
