MMR Global and Claydata enter into licensing agreement

Personal health records company MMR Global has entered into a licensing agreement with Australian medical database company Claydata.

The agreement will allow Claydata to use some patents held by MMR Global in an electronic medical record scheme that lets patients access their personal files online.

In exchange, MyMedicalRecords, holder of the patents, and a subsidiary of MMR Global, will receive a undisclosed percentage of sales.

Joseph Grace, chief executive of Claydata, said: “There are tremendous changes in healthcare going on in Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific region. This agreement gives Claydata the opportunity to sell our interoperable systems to customers with a license to MMR’s IP.

“The agreement also gives Claydata the right to resell MMR’s MyMedicalRecords products to the clients we serve.”

So far, MMR Global has not responded to a request to comment.
