Polsinelli hires ‘valuable asset’ for Denver office

Experienced patent attorney represents clients in a wide range of industries, including renewable energy, semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

Polsinelli has welcomed David Hsu as counsel in the firm’s Denver office.

He joins from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton where he spent more than a decade of his career.

An experienced patent attorney, Hsu focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution and related counselling.

He represents clients in a wide range of industries, including bioinformatics, biotechnology, renewable energy, semiconductors, polymer materials, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

Hsu’s experience in technical, economic and sustainability issues is a great asset to the IP department, according to the firm.

Commenting on the hire, Polsinelli’s electrical engineering and computer science patent prosecution chair Gregory Durbin said: “We are excited to welcome David to the Polsinelli team—his experience in a variety of industries, ranging from plasma processing to next-generation microprocessors and AI, make him a valuable asset to our clients.”

Hsu said: “I am thrilled to join Polsinelli’s thriving patent practice and excited to collaborate with my colleagues who have deep experience in wide-ranging legal practices, such as venture capital and healthcare.

“I look forward to working with clients on technologies at the intersection of different fields, including chemistry, biology and computer science.”

As one of the largest IP practices in the US, Polsinelli’s attorneys, patent agents, scientists and other professionals oversee some of the most complex issues facing technology and high-tech companies.
