PolyTherics completes Antitope takeover

UK biopharmaceuticals company PolyTherics has completed a takeover of Antitope, a provider of antibody engineering and immunogenicity screening services.

PolyTherics has a number of technologies and services related to the development of biopharmaceuticals. The company expects the acquisition of Antitope, which provides similar technologies, to give it a stronger hand in the global biopharma sector.

The acquisition was supported by accountancy firm Crowe Clark Whitehill, led by partner Simon Jordan in the Thames Valley office, who provided transaction support and advisory services.

Discussing the deal, Jordan said: “This is a significant transaction for PolyTherics, and provides a solid platform for expansion into the global biopharma industry.”
