Enzo Biochem has agreed a $9 million settlement with Agilent Technologies in a patent infringement lawsuit centring on technology used in detecting nucleic acid.
According to a statement by Enzo on Wednesday, January 6, Agilent has agreed to pay the sum.
The lawsuit, one of 11 infringement claims that Enzo filed against companies at the US District Court for the District of Delaware, centres on US patent number 7,064,197.
The settlement has no impact on the other cases, eight of which remain pending, Enzo said.
Enzo has previously reached settlements with both Affymetrix and Luminex.
