Holland & Hart adds ex-biologist as of counsel

Holland & Hart has  added Rachel Carnaggio, of counsel, to its Denver office in Colorado.

Carnaggio joins the firm from Holzer Paten Drennan, where she worked for more than five years.

Having spent a decade as a molecular and cellular biologist, conducting genomic experiments at leading research institutions, Carnaggio is able to assist clients in life sciences who are seeking to convert their scientific inventions into patentable products.

Holland & Hart said that this brings “unique value” to clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and digital health industries.

Carnaggio helps clients with developing protective strategies, from patent prosecution to patent enforcement. She also provides advice on existing patents and whether to pursue, or defend, patent infringement litigation in state and federal courts, and she has been involved in multi-district litigation.

Finally, Carnaggio assists clients with obtaining and enforcing US and foreign trademarks, as well as the management of trademark portfolios.
