King & Spalding adds another patent lawyer from Paul Hastings

Vanessa Yen has joined King & Spalding's trial and global disputes practice group as a partner after leaving Paul Hastings.

After Gerald Flattmann and Evan Diamond, she is the third lawyer to join the firm from Paul Hastings this month.

Based in the firm’s New York office, Yen will focus on complex patent litigation and post-grant proceedings. She has worked with national and international clients across a number of sectors, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices.

Recently, Yen has dealt with IP matters centring on pharmaceutical products for the treatment of HIV/AIDS, epilepsy, glaucoma, schizophrenia, and benign prostatic hyperplasia, among others.

Yen said she will work to “vigorously defend companies that are facing litigation regarding their branded products".
