Mathys & Squire adds two life sciences partners

Mathys & Squire has added Peter Arch and Craig Titmus to the firm’s partnership.

Arch, who has managed the prosecution of patent families worldwide, has a masters degree in natural sciences. He has advised clients on a range of pharmaceutical and chemical technologies, including pharmaceutical products, personal care products, and nanotechnology.

Over his career, Arch has represented multinational companies at European Patent Office hearings, helping clients to defend and oppose patents.

Titmus also has a strong scientific background, with a degree in molecular biology and biochemistry as well as a PhD in biotechnology. He works on a variety of technical areas in those fields, and has particular expertise in vaccines, diagnostics, and plant protection.

Since becoming a patent attorney in 2014, Titmus has drafted, prosecuted, and managed global patent families. He also works on European opposition and appeal cases, and his clients have included start-ups, universities, and the UK government.

Both Arch and Titmus are based in Mathys & Squire’s London office.
