Michael Best adds IP partner in Chicago

Michael Best & Friedrich  has strengthened its IP team with the addition of Mircea Tipescu as a partner in the firm’s IP practice in Chicago.

Tipescu brings more than 15 years of patent litigation, prosecution, and counselling experience.

His practice covers the medical devices, clinical diagnostic equipment, and mechanical and electromechanical industries.

Stephen Gigot, chair of the firm’s IP practice, said: “His background of counselling clients in patent prosecution and clearance matters and his work in inter parties review and litigation matters in both the federal district courts and the International Trade Commission will be a huge benefit to our clients.”
