Morgan Lewis & Bockius has boosted its IP litigation team with the addition of seven partners from McDermott Will & Emery who have experience in the life sciences and technology industries.
Five of the new partners—Jeff Gargano, Krista Vink Venegas, Shon Lo, Hersh Mehta, and Kevin Shortsle—will be based in Chicago.
Natalie Bennett will work in the firm’s Washington, DC office and Brent Hawkins will be based in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
According to Morgan Lewis, the new partners have litigated patent disputes, including Hatch-Waxman Act cases, for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical devices companies. They have also tried cases in US federal courts, the US Patent and Trademark Office and the International Trade Commission.
Eric Kraeutler, who leads Morgan Lewis’s IP practice, said: “With the arrival of our new partners, we have significantly enhanced our patent litigation and trial practices, and have added scientific and technical strength, particularly in life sciences.”
