Perkins Coie hires life sciences partner
Law firm Perkins Coie has appointed James Hill as a partner in the IP practice in the life sciences industry group.
Hill, who joins the Los Angeles office, arrives from WilmerHale, where he served as partner.
He represents life sciences and medical device companies in patent litigation, prosecution, inter partes reviews, post-grant proceedings, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, and IP counselling.
Michael Wise, leader of Perkins Coie’s life sciences and healthcare sector, said: “James’s strategic counsel is sought by Fortune 500 and emerging companies in the medical devices and biopharmaceutical industries.”
He added that Hill’s depth and scope of experience in medical device patent litigation and prosecution complements the firm’s national IP practice.
