Quinn Emanuel hires life sciences partner from Mayer Brown

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has hired IP life sciences partner Colleen James from Mayer Brown.

Based in New York, James is a litigator who focuses on complex patent infringement matters, including Patent and Trial and Appeal Board proceedings for clients in the life sciences industry.

She has litigated against a number of generic pharmaceutical manufacturers in Hatch-Waxman proceedings in the district courts and at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

In addition, James provides clients with freedom to operate opinions, licensing advice, and due diligence counselling.

She was a managing partner of Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto between 1999 and 2014.
