Novo’s semaglutide protection weakens after European ruling

Generic challengers have scored a win against the Danish company after an appeals board revoked a key patent covering the cardiovascular use of semaglutide. The decision strips away another layer of protection as generic manufacturers hunt down the semaglutide franchise.
