Law firm Reed Smith has expanded its intellectual property, information and innovation group by hiring Lisa Chiarini as a partner in New York.

Chiarini joins from law firm Fish & Richardson, where she also worked as a partner.

She has experience in handling patent prosecution matters before the International Trade Commission, and has represented clients in the chemical and medical devices industries.

Douglas Wood, office managing partner of the firm’s New York office, said: “We are focused on building a robust office here that offers clients a comprehensive resource for their legal needs, and Lisa is a great addition to our team here.”
